The rules of
golf shall govern all play except for the following local golfing rules
that apply to Port Douglas Mirage Country Club:
- Out Of
Bounds - Right side of the 1st and 9th holes and the left
side of the 5th hole as defined by chain fence. All other boundaries
are defined by white stakes.
- Lateral
Hazards - The Pakers Creek which bounds in part holes 2,
3 and 4 is played as a lateral hazard. The Tidal Lagoons and Wet Land
Marshes on holes 10-18 inclusive are played as lateral hazards (red
stakes). The beach and intervening foliage bounding in part holes
3 and 7 are part of the course. The Himalayas on the Mountain nine
are to be played as a lateral water hazard as defined by the red stakes.
- Immovable
Obstructions - The toilets, signs, bridges and abutments,
cart paths, service roads and railway tracks are all immovable obstructions.
- Course
Regulations -
1.
Replace divots, repair ball marks and rake bunkers
2. Practice on the course is prohibited
3. Collared shirts, shoes and socks are to be worn
at all times. No jeans or running shorts are permitted.
- Golf
Carts -
1.
Approach no closer than 20 metres of greens, tees or bunkers
2. The 90° rule applies to golf cart use,
unless otherwise notified due to course conditions
3. Observe safety rules and obey signs
4. Maximum of two persons and two bags per cart
